금융 투자를 한 지 1년 반 정도가 되었다. 투자에 관심은 많았지만 저축금이 없어 투자하지 못했다. 적은 돈이지만 군 복무를 마치니 돈이 조금 모였다. 학교에서는 경제와 금융에 대해서 배우지 못했다. 나의 대부분의 경제 지식은 책을 통해 배운 것들이었다. 최근에는 투자와 관련한 실용적인 책들만 읽었다. 최소한의 이론은 알아야 할 것 같아서 평소 귀에 익은 경제학자 선대인의 책을 골랐다.
만약 금융과 경제에 대해 정말 아무것도 모르는 경알못 친구가 나에게 책을 추천해달라고 한다면 일단 이 책부터 읽힐 것이다. 경제학자가 쓴 책이라 투자에 관한 내용은 조금 아쉽지만 이론에 관해서는 정말 이해하기 쉽게 쓰여져있다. 매 파트마다 관련된 질문을하고 그에 따른 답변을 풀어내는 형식이기 때문이다. 경제나 금융에 대해 조금이라도 아는 사람은 선대인이 던지는 질문 중 정확히 답하지 못하는 부분만 읽어도 괜찮다. 그리고 매 파트별 뒷 부분에는 신문기사 속의 경제 이론을 설명한다. 뉴스를 볼 때 다른 기사는 잘 이해해도 경제 파트만 어려워서 피한다면 이 책이 도움이 될 것이다.
