20세기초 아방가르드 예술의 조형개념에 의한 현대건축의 특성에 관한 연구

영문초록 : From ancient times, the intellectual analysis on the concept of space had undergone a variety of the concept of space because of its dependence on insight of human. After the late nineteen century, the issue of architectural space became a subject of architectural theory. However, until the late nineteen-century, these chancing space concepts did not link with architectural theory in the corresponding century, and had made the development of theory after the twenty-century. Einfu¨hlung of THeoder Lipps, psychological aesthetic of Dagobert Frey, scientific architecture aesthetic of Gottfied Semper in the nineteen century and new scientific paradigm in the early of the twenty century opened the new analysis of art and architectural form. Moreover, in the early of the twenty century, the advent of scientific theory such as the theory of relativity, the principle of uncertainty, and the theory of entropy, had brought the change of scientific thinking, collapsed mechanical determinism, and changed into a way of undetermined relative thinking. The dramatic change and crisis in the filed of politics, society, and culture in the late nineteen century and the early twenty century denied the existed value both art and architectural form, and even intend new cultural change. This means the change of one's value and even a view of the world and the conversion of Formative Idea continued for five hundred since Renaissance. For that reason, the mean of changed formative is not to define as formative meaning but to present a form of essential research and a various experimental work. Therefore, the formative idea of avant-garde art is interpreted as critical elements of architectural paradigm changes, which dramatically changed architectural reference form. This paper focus on the geometrical abstraction genre such as the Cubism, De Stijl, and Absolutism among the Avant-Garde art, which brought new analysis and concept of space, define new formative concepts, and introduce a coordinate concept for formative concept continued since Renaissance. Moreover the birth of Modernism and the early experimental stage, an extreme Avant-garde presented by a pursuit of novelty, are guided by Avant-Garde in the early 20th century. This paper reveals that an experimental transformation of form are in use as the formative method of contemporary architecture. / 한글초록 : 공간개념의 지적해석은 발전하는 인간의 통찰력에 의존하고 있기 때문에, 고대 이래 많은 공간개념들의 변화를 거치고 있다. 건축공간의 문제가 건축 이론의 주요 테마로 떠오르게 된 것은 19세기말 이후부터이다. 그렇지만 이러한 변화하는 공간개념들은 19세기 후반까지 그 시대의 건축이론과 확실하게 결부되어 있지 못하였으며 20세기에 와서야 이론의 전개가 이루어지고 있다. 테오도르 립스의 감정이입설, 다고베르트 프라이 등의 심리학적 미학, 19세기 고프리드 젬퍼의 과학주의적 건축이론과 20세기초의 새로운 과학패러다임은 예술 및 건축의 형태에 새로운 해석의 가능성을 열어 주었다. 특히 20세기초의 상대성 원리, 불확정성 원리, 엔트로피 법칙 등과 같은 과학 이론의 등장은 과학적 사고체계의 변화를 가져왔으며, 뉴튼-데카르트의 기계·결정론적 세계관을 붕괴시키고 불확정적이고 상대적 사고체계로의 변환을 이루었다. 19세기말과 20세기초의 정치·사회·문화영역의 급격한 변화와 위기는 예술 및 건축의 형태뿐만 아니라 이전의 가치를 부정하고 새로운 문화적 변화를 의도하였다. 이것은 가치체계, 심지어는 세계관 자체의 변화를 의미하는 것으로 르네상스 이후 5세기에 걸쳐 지속되어온 조형이념의 변환을 의미하는 것이었다. 따라서 변화된 조형의 의미는 단순히 형태적 의미로 한정되는 것이 아니라, 본질적인 탐구의 형태를 띠며 다양한 시도의 실험적 작업이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 20세기초 아방가르드 예술의 조형이념은 건축의 인지체계를 급격히 변환시키는 역할을 했다는 점에서 건축적 패러다임 변화의 결정적 요소라고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 19세기까지 지속되어온 볼륨을 중시한 르네상스적 형태이념을 바꾸어 공간에 대한 새로운 해석과 개념을 가져온 아방가르드 예술 중 건축공간구축의 계기를 제공한 큐비즘, 데 스틸, 구성주의, 절대주의 등 기하·추상적 예술장르로 한정하여 조형개념을 정의하며, 르네상스 이후 지속되어온 조형개념에 반한 대립개념을 도출하고자 한다. 또한 새로움에 대한 추구로서 극단적인 아방가르드라는 개념으로 모더니즘의 탄생과 초기의 실험적 단계들이 20세기초 아방가르드에 의해 주도되었으며, 건축적 이념이 달라진 현대에서도 이러한 실험적 형태의 변형들이 현대 건축의 조형적 수법으로 사용되고 있음을 고찰하고자 한다.
