영문초록 : The object of this study is to find out several problems of the Protestant hymnody. Historically, music was very important in Protestant service, but it is true that there are still many problems. This study tries to find out these protestant missionary work 100th birthday was passed. To attain music toward a higher level in the worship or a choir and to develop music spiritually : all these are among the major objects of this study. Furthermore, the definition of worship, the history of worship, its music and the sorts, historical research about worship music and a choir was studied in this study. Through this study I came to know the fact that historically, worship, its service and the word of God are very important. But the attitude as the worshiper who serve God is more important. There were many changes and reformations in the worship music. But a choir has tried to lead music constantly in the midst of worship and to help make the worship as one. The relationship of worship music and a choir is very familiar and very important. The conclusions derived from this study are : 1) The worship in the Protestant Church is the best blessing which all the worshipers have in the earth. All the worshipers have to admire, love and obey God. 2) The situations of worship music and a choir are very important. All must sacrifice the most beautiful things to God. 3) A choir must always prepare and pray for the worship. And it must take charge of the worship order and act the conduct faithfully. 4) Church musicians as one who sacrifice themselves have to be sincere towards the worship music. 5) Korean Protestant churchmen must try to find out the real worship forms understood by all the order of worship, music and help all the church musicians. 6) Lastly, Korean Church must understand the problem of worship music and choir. Especially, Korean church must try to develop Korean style worship music.
