It is apparent that radiation pattern is of principal concern during the process of antenna measurement since it determines the spatial energy distribution. Therefore, this thesis focuses on the antenna radiation patterns measured in the situation of reverberant, semi-anechoic or even open area. Meanwhile, a new method has been proposed using Chebyshev polynomials to achieve the reconstruction of radiation pattern. In our research, the analysis started from the frequency domain data measured in the anechoic chamber, it corresponds to the direct propagating between two antennas and reflected propagating waves from the copper plate. In this thesis, we introduced the basic and property of the Bessel-Chebyshev polynomials and how the reflections and diffractions from the metallic walls and objects can be suppressed using proposed method. The radiation pattern at the center frequency of 3.35 GHz for each azimuth angle has been measured as the basic criterion for the sake of evaluation. In order to estimate the performance of Chebyshev method, FFT-based method had been introduced for comparison. Meanwhile, the norm errors of reconstruction using both two methods have been calculated in the bandwidth1 (2.5 GHz~4.2 GHz) and bandwidth2 (3.05 GHz~3.65 GHz) respectively. As the result of the comparison, the Chebyshev method provides a superior performance than the FFT-based method.
