The purpose of this study is to conduct a demand survey for the development and improvement of the “competency-centered recruitment model,” which has been developed since 2012 as a standardization tool for job competency recruitment in Korea. In particular, in order to select 10 new and advanced occupations out of 160 undeveloped occupations (based on NCS subclassification) and 110 occupations through trends analysis, perception survey of 321 corporate employeesand 208 young job seekers, and FGI was conducted on experts in the field of recruitment, and the conclusions drawn are as follows. Newly developed occupations include smart factory design, artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicle development, blockchain, e-learning, medical equipment manufacturing, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, smart farm development, smart disaster management, and broadcasting platform technology, while advanced occupations include human resources organization and industrial safety. Health management, robot development, semiconductor development, display development, information and communication device development, intellectual property management, information protection, environmental health management, and lodging service occupations. From a company's perspective, they can refer to developments in various occupations and use development tools in similar industries, and in the recruitment market, companies can use examples of interview tasks for each job, starting with job descriptions that can measure job capabilities. Young job seekers can write a self-introduction and job performance plan by looking at their own experience and job-oriented content, and prepare for interview tasks. Accordingly, the competency-based recruitment model, which is a standardization tool for job competency-based hiring in Korea, needs to be further spread in the job market.
