In this paper, a high dynamic direct instantaneous torque control strategy for switched reluctance machine based on magnetic co-energy estimation of torque is proposed. In order to reduce the arithmetic waste of the controller, the data required is greatly reduced by using the magnetic co-energy for estimating the instantaneous torque in combination with the Varignon’s parallelogram calculation principle. Meanwhile, in order to obtain better dynamic performance and improve the robustness of the system, an Active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) controller is used to control the system. The results show that the proposed high dynamic direct instantaneous torque control strategy has certain advantages over the conventional control strategy.
