In order to research the protective effect of vehicle safety belts for occupants during low-speed collision, the numerical simulation and full vehicle crash tests were used to focus on the analysis of injuries to driver and frontal passenger who do not wear seat belts during low-speed collision. The results show that during the low-speed collision of 15 km/h, the driver and frontal passenger will cause certain injuries when they are not wearing seat belts. With the increase of impact speed, injuries to various parts of the body of driver and passenger have been aggravated. This article show that lowered the threshold of active seat belt reminder is effectively reducing the number of road traffic accident injuries and protecting consumer life safety.
