This paper proposes a hybrid speed estimator for sensorless control of induction machine using both adaptive flux observer and high-frequency signal injection method. The two techniques are combined together to form accurate speed and position estimation from zero to high-speed region with smooth transition. The performance of the proposed method is verified from both simulation result and experimental test on a 33kW induction machine.
