As corporations attempt to move toward the responsible enterprises, management must extend their efforts to improve corporate social responsibility practices across their activities. The literature characterize the relationship between corporate social responsibility and organizational performance, but remains sparse study in how the relationship between corporate social responsibility and the independent innovation. Using a survey of the Pearl River Delta region manufacturers, this paper examines the impact of corporate social responsibility, knowledge sharing on independent innovation. We find that there are direct positive influence between corporate social responsibility and knowledge sharing, knowledge sharing and independent innovation. Yet corporate social responsibility has a indirect positive influence on independent innovation through knowledge sharing.
