The assembly line balancing problem is a complex combinatorial optimization problem, which belongs to a branch of scheduling problems, and plays an important role in the course of industrial engineering. However, due to resource and location constraints, the teaching of assembly line balancing lacks an intuitive and interactive teaching platform, as well as tools for conducting algorithm experiments, resulting in poor teaching effectiveness. This paper designs and develops a simulation-experimental teaching platform for assembly line balancing problems, and analyzes the whole system design process in terms of teaching needs. Then, an example was used to demonstrate the interactive simulation teaching process using this system, which demonstrated the feasibility and superiority of the simulation teaching platform in assembly line balancing teaching.
