At present, the ADSS cable has more and more interruption faults caused by bird damage. The effectiveness of relying on manual inspections or installing sleeves to prevent bird damage was not significant. However, there is currently no real-time monitoring and disposal method for the problem of bird damage in ADSS cables. Based on AI recognition techniques, real-time monitoring and identification of bird damage to ADSS cables can be achieved. By deploying AI intelligent identification models on the intelligent IPC at the edge of the cables line, the occurrence of bird damage on the ADSS cables can be identified more quickly, and real-time responses can be made to the identification results, achieving intelligent monitoring and disposal of ADSS cables bird damage. Firstly, install intelligent monitoring IPC, networking equipments, and intelligent bird repelling equipments on the ADSS cables. Then, deploy relevant AI identification models on the intelligent IPC to achieve real-time monitoring and intelligent identification of bird damage behaviors such as stopping and pecking on ADSS cables. Finally, through the linkage between IPC equipments and bird repellent equipments, achieving intelligent monitoring and real-time disposal of birds on ADSS cables.
