This paper presents a cascaded H-bridge converter, which consists of a multi-wingding transformer and a mount of H-bridge inverters. This converter can be used to connect two grids with different phases. In that case, the power supply of the loads can be enhanced and the reliability can be improved. The model of the system is established and the control algorithm is proposed. This topology not only realized the electric isolation, but also can change the frequency of the output voltage. The simulation results validated the proposed topology. A prototype of the system is established in the lab and the control algorithms are verified.
