The front anti-collision beam as an important protective component for safe driving, it’s shape of the cross-sectional is a main factor effecting the cushioning and energy absorption characteristics. In this paper, aiming at the collision problem of the cross-section of the anti-collision main beam, three kinds of bionic cross-section structures of the anti-collision main beam are proposed based on the bionic principle. Based on the theory of explicit dynamics, the finite element model of explicit dynamics of anti-collision girder is established, and then the collision simulation of the anti-collision main beam is carried out by LS-DYNA software to obtain the deformation and collapse of each anti-collision main beam. In order to further study the difference of the collision properties of each anti-collision beam, The characteristics of impact force and specific energy absorption in the collision process are further compared and analyzed. The results show that the embedded water drop shaped anti-collision girder has the best impact properties, the maximum residual impact force is 3062 N, the final energy absorption is 738 Kj, and has good specific energy absorption characteristics.
