The goals of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA), as administered by the Library of Michigan, are to support statewide access to information, enhance equity of access by providing special assistance to those with difficulty in using a library, support librarians as they develop information skills and foster innovation and technical improvements in libraries. Toward achievement of these goals, the Library of Michigan awarded $4,557,301 in LSTA dollars for projects during the fiscal year 1999. This report focuses on projects that have made a difference in the lives of Michiganians, thanks to LSTA funding. First, the AccessMichigan statewide database project is described followed by a map of U.S. Congressional Districts (1999) in the State of Michigan, and an outline of the Library of Michigan's LSTA program goals.
