The article presents a study which examines the species of caprine mycoplasma and its prevalence in the different areas of Pakistan from 2006-2007. The study uses the rabbit polyclonal antiserum Mycoplasma mycoides subspecies Capri to examine the sample which are subject to cultural isolation and growth inhibition (GIT). Results show that turbidity in pleuro pneumonia-like organisms (PPLO) broth is shown by the 121 samples of 1180, while 58 of them have showed a positive reaction to GIT. Moreover, the mycoplasmosis which causes respiratory infection is more prevalent in hilly and plain areas than in semi-desert and sub-hilly areas.
