This article presents an interview with playwright Harold Pinter. The author thanks Pinter for doing a symposium for the Lincoln Center Festival. Pinter states that the experience has been very rich and very demanding. He goes on to say that he has been very impressed and struck by the enthusiasm of the audience, and their remarkable quickness, intelligence, and wit. He said that the audience here has an extraordinary vitality of its own. The response has been quite substantial. And it's meant a great deal to everybody on stage, including Pinter.
