The article presents a study which explored the importance of sex- and age-disaggregated data in health research. Topics discussed include top ten causes of disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) in adults 85 years and above, relative difference in DALYs between men and women 65-69 years of age and those 85 years of age and over, and importance of collecting and analyzing sex and age disaggregated data.
