The article informs that the variety of surfaces are patterned with precisely defined cylindrical micelles and explores that the surface nanopatterning with polymer brushes. Topics discussed include versatile bottom-up strategy to fabricate well-defined nanostructures with precisely controlled chemical functionalities; hydrophobicity of silicon wafers was enhanced by using unimers; and general methodologies leading to nanopatterned functional surfaces with tailor-made chemical functionalities.
