The article focuses on the use of layered safety process audit (LSPA) auditing technique for evaluate critical safety systems within an organization. Topics discussed include use of the same for the management at different organizational levels for evaluating the effectiveness of safety programs; its role in reducing unidentified risk by limiting individual professional and technical weaknesses and further promoting industrial safety; and the reduction of error gap by risk assessment.
