Abstract: Hematological abnormalities such as anemia and coagulopathies are well-established complications in malaria. Other well-recognized complications of malaria are cerebral malaria and kidney injury. In this case report, we present a man that presented with a gastrointestinal bleeding as a complication of a malaria infection, which was found through histopathological investigations of the resected colon.
