Introduction: Sign system to help the user's movement exists in station. These signs can be divided into a sign with structural information (Structural-sign), and a sign with functional information (Functional-sign). Objective: The purpose of this study is to clarify useful information contents about structural sign. Methods: This experiment was performed about movement of the station in the virtual reality. The experiment procedure is as follows. First, the destination was presented. Second, Structural-sign was presented. At this time, three kinds of signs were prepared by the difference of volume of information, and the presented sign was changed by the subject. Moreover, utterance data was extracted, and time that reaches destination was measured. Finally, the drawing experiment of the cognitive map by the sketch map method was performed. Results & Discussion: The sign that had the best influence was a sign with large volume of information (Large-S-Sign). On the other hand, the signature that had the worst influence was a sign with small volume of information (Small-S-Sign). The difference between Large-S-Sign and Small-S-Sign was the presence of information about detailed environment (landmark).
