German, 17th century, male. Active in Strasbourg from 1615 to 1653. Born c. 1590, in Pressburg (now Bratislava, Slovakia). Draughtsman, engraver (burin), print publisher. Isaac Brun was the son of Franz Brun. His style recalls that of Th. de Bry and the sparseness of his plates caused him to be classified with the minor German masters.
