Recently, there have been increasing issues in the context of climate change. This calls for a lot of approaches to respond to climate change. In the interest of climate change adaptation, halophyte and blue carbon-based research has greatly increased. In addition to responding to climate change, the importance of the landscape on the coast is also frequently mentioned. In terms of exotic tree species, positive recognition results are often derived from both landscape and user aspects. Among them, in the case of Trachycapus Fortunei., the need for growth and expansion on the coast is raised because it brings a positive image in terms of user perception. Still, although Trachycapus Fortunei. lives away from the sea water in the coastal area, the damage or adaptation to direct salt is not well known. Therefore, considering the landscape value of Trachycapus Fortunei., verification of salt resistance and consideration for coastal area expansion were conducted. Accordingly, considerations were conducted to expand the salinity resistance of Trachycapus Fortunei in the coastal area. To address the issues, the growth of the ground, underground, and root parts was measured according to the difference in the salt ratio of Trachycapus Fortunei. As a result, first, there was a few differences in growth according to the salt ratio in the ground, underground, and root growth, but it did not significantly affect growth. Second, it was analysed that the growth rate of the underground was the largest when compared to that of the ground and underground. Third, this study conducted an in-depth discussion and implications for the social and ecological perception of Trachycapus Fortunei as a foreign species. Social perception varies according to social and demographic factors, and in the case of Trachycapus Fortunei, the need to verify existing negative perceptions of exotic species was suggested because the positive perception was high in the landscape context. In addition, ecologically, there have been a lot of negative general perceptions, where these negative studies have often been found for invasive reasons in the case of foreign species. Yet, little threat was found in the case of Trachycapus Fortunei. Accordingly, management of foreign species through the involvement of multi-stakeholders suggested the need to improve understanding and awareness of foreign species. In conclusion, Trachycapus Fortunei is resistant to salt impact and has shown the possibility of expanding domestic coastal areas. However, it presents the need for further research on the related issue. Nevertheless, this study is meaningful in that the verification of growth according to the salt resistance of the Trachycapus Fortunei provided the basis for the scalability of the Trachycapus Fortunei in the coastal region.
