The research objective is to study the dance characteristics of Sharon Eyal with her work Half Life, as the center based on the “new sensibility” perspective proposed by Susan Sontag. As one of the most active modern dancers, Sharon Eyal is famous for her unique work style, which is also closely combined with commerce, achieving strong contemporaneity and influence. Judging from the background of Sharon Eyal's unique dance style, it can be inferred that it is closely related to Sharon Eyal's ability to make full use of her senses. In the work Half Life, the audience's senses can be maximized by the most basic dance elements, without any stage installations, props, media tools, or complicated costumes, which can still bring sensory impact and new sensory experiences. When the audience is watching the work, they only need to observe and feel it. It can be seen from the analysis of the work Half Life that Sharon Eyal made good use of and well interpreted Susan Sontag's “new sensibility,” since they have similar understanding of art. It hopes that through this thesis, different opinions and perspectives can be put forward to provide a reference for the creation and appreciation of modern dance.
