The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the early 20th-century fusion of modern dance and traditional Chinese dance on Chinese dance and its potential for value development in Wang Mei's "Modern Choreography of Traditional Dance." More and more traditional Chinese dances are being modified and altered as a result of the long-term development of traditional dance art. More development directions will increase the diversity of Chinese dance, regardless of whether this is a common occurrence or a trend in the development of Chinese modern dance. The work of Wang Mei is a report that is the result of four years of experience and investigation. The Uyghur movements depicted in the works are dissected and then rebuilt using hazy time and space to create contemporary abstract traditional dance movements. This study of traditional dance is practical. Since modern dance was created and evolved in the context of western culture, it will also be constrained by the growth of regional cultural diversity when it enters China. Following development, the modern dance with a Chinese cultural background elicits a more sympathetic response from the audience, expanding the scope of Chinese modern dance. Through literary research on Western modern dance and traditional Chinese dance, this article describes the development, background, and aesthetic qualities of the two styles of dance. Based on these research, the video clip "Modern Creation of Traditional Dance" is used as the main line to analyze the adjustments to movements, the use of the stage, and the modern use of music to analyze the modern interpretation of traditional dance.
