The study is conducted centering around the cosmetics market. Firstly, the thesis introduces the import and export status of the global cosmetics market, including that of South Korea and that of China. At the same time, particularly, trends of China’s cosmetic market and export projects of South Korean cosmetics to the Chinese market will be analyzed. Since China’s reform and opening-up, China’s economy has been experiencing rapid development every year, which has also rendered increasing personal income. Against such a backdrop, Chinese people’s demands for cosmetics have increased substantially, resulting in a swift development of its cosmetics market, with the fastest growing space among other countries around the world. Multiple multinationals’ entering into the Chinese market, which have been attracted by China’s enormous potentials, brings both opportunities and fiercer competition among corporations. To become stronger, enterprises shall adopt the most targeted market strategies as follows: market segmentation and diversified publicity techniques; communication means transformation and anti-counterfeit goods; broader market areas: such as man, baby and pregnant maternal cosmetic markets. Besides, it is also key to developing new products and understanding psychologies of Chinese consumers. Only by constant self-improvements can South Korean companies develop more businesses in China and become stronger.
