The new way of communication was born with the birth of typography, and the fusion of technology and art created graphic design. Graphic design is a term used in Greek 'graphikos,' and it is a visual art that utilizes the characteristics of printing while having the functions of commercial promotion and advertising on a two-dimensional plane. As a result, graphic design is reborn as a new visual art by combining various graphic elements such as illustration, typography, figure, color, photography and layout. In the history of graphic design, the poster was the most important and powerful ways of publicity. Poster began with the means of conveying information most importantly and wanted to convey the prints to the plane through the media, drawing attention to the reactions and behaviors to achieve the purpose of propaganda. In fact, first posters have a longer history than typography. Prints were invented between about 590 and 640 AD, and the writing of posters was almost alwayshandwritten or painted by hand before prints appeared. The oldest posters in existence are posters made about 1,000 BC by an Egyptian owner to arrest the slaves who escaped. In addition, posterity is beginning to become a major medium for delivering messages to the public, while utilizing the mass copying of print media by typography. As such, the poster, which has traditionally been used in the two - dimensional plane, faces significant challenges due to the emergence of new media since the 20th century. So how about creating a poster that can move the senses and thoughts beyond the limits of expression in this media changing environment to others vividly and more easily? Is not there the answer to the poetic expression of literature that we often see? For example, in the phrase of 'Blue Bells scattered like a fountain' in Kim Kwang-gyun's 'Foreigner Village' or Jang Man-young’s 'The moon is more fragrant than fruit' using expression which means a sense of feeling, but we can not feel the smell of fragrance. The synesthesia is a stimulation of the sensitive region, which is a phenomenon in which one sensation invokes asense of another area. There are five senses that can cause sensory phenomena: visual, auditory, taste, smell, and tactile. Among these five senses, the most human being acquires information from outside is visual and auditory. Regarding synesthesia, we can analyze the poster expression method focusing on the relation between visual and auditory, and it is possible to express poster in a more aggressive way by combining visual and auditory. Now we exchange most of the messages through mobile and computer media as the media evolves. Digital media has the advantage of delivering messages to the public more conveniently and quickly than static print media through sound and movement. If the media poster actively accepts the characteristics of such digital media, it can use messages to convey messages more efficiently. This study attempts to integrate traditional poster media with digital media, and the media poster, which can be called flower of graphic design, is not a stationary media anymore but can use dynamic, sensual, and multifactorial characteristics using new media, and I want to check this possibility by my work.
