본 연구는 중장년 여성의 태권도 수련이 태권도장 활성에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위해 여성 태권도 프로그램을 운영하고 지도하는 태권도장의 지도자를 대상으로 직접 방문 및 유선 연락을 통한 심층면담을 실시하여 연구의 결과를 항목화 하고 기본 범주를 구분하여 결과를 도출하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.첫째, 태권도장의 중장년 여성 태권도 프로그램 운영은 태권도장의 수련계층을 다각화하여 경제적 수익을 높이는데 필요하며 이는 아동 청소년 수련생 확보만으로 미흡한 부분을 보완해 준다. 또한 여성들의 스포츠 참여 욕구가 높아지는 시대적 흐름 속에서 자녀를 통해 태권도장을 간접 체험한 중장년 여성에게 태권도장에 대한 접근성은 비교적 효과적이다.둘째, 중장년 여성 태권도 프로그램은 태권도 프로그램과 태권도 외(外) 프로그램으로 구분되는데 수련 초기 여성들은 태권도 외 프로그램에 대한 호응이 상대적으로 좋고, 장기 수련으로 접어들수록 태권도 전문프로그램의 호응이 좋다. 또한 태권도장에서 태권도 외 프로그램을 지도하는데 대한 부정적인 인식은 크지 않다. 그 배경은 자녀들을 수련시키면서 태권도장의 다양한 프로그램 특징을 잘 이해하고 있어서 이다.셋째, 태권도장 운영 지도자들은 중장년 여성이 소비층으로서 수련자로 유입시키고 이를 통해 경제적인 이익을 창출하는데 매우 효과적인 계층이라고 판단하고 있다. 또한 아동 청소년 체육활동에 특화된 태권도장이라는 고정관념을 변화시키는데 핵심적인 역할을 하는 집단으로 평가하였다.
In order to investigate the effect of taekwondo training of middle-aged women on taekwondo-gym activity, this study conducted in-depth interviews through wireline contact with masters of taekwondo-gym who operate and guide women's taekwondo programs. The results were derived by itemizing and classifying basic categories. The results of the study are as follows.First, the operation of taekwondo-gym's middle-aged women's taekwondo program is necessary to increase economic profits by diversifying the training class of taekwondo-gym, which compensates for the inadequacy only by securing children and adolescents. In addition, access to taekwondo-gym is relatively effective for middle-aged women who have indirectly experienced taekwondo through their children amid the growing desire of women to participate in sports.Second, taekwondo programs for middle-aged women are divided into taekwondo programs and non-taekwondo programs, and women respond relatively well to programs other than taekwondo. Also there is not msuch negative perception about teaching skills other than Taekwondo in the gyms. The background is that they understand the various program features of Taekwondo of Taekwondo-gym while training their children.Third, Taekwondo-gym leaders believe that middle-aged women are very effeetive bringing them into the class as a consumer as a trainee and to create economic benefits through this. In addition, it was evaluated as a group that plays an effective role in changing the stereotype of Taekwondo-gym, which is specialized for children's and adolescents' physical activities.
