This study was conducted to understand the current status of oral health education for implant patients and changes in oral care behavior, satisfaction, and knowledge according to oral health education using video media. This study was conducted on patients who visited O Dental Clinic in Busan from April 4, 2023 to November 23, 2023, among adult men and women aged 19 years or older who completed all procedures including upper prosthesis after implant placement and were able to masticate. A survey and oral health education were conducted on 22 functional subjects, and the following conclusions were drawn.1. As a result of analyzing the subjects' oral health education experience, the frequency of experienced and non-experienced subjects was found to be the same, and among those with oral health education experience, the highest response was that there was no change in behavior due to experience. The most desired educational method was the use of video media, and most education was conducted at dental clinics. 2. As a result of analyzing the subjects' satisfaction level after oral health education using video media, all responses showed that it was helpful for oral health care and that there was a change in oral care behavior. 3. As a result of analyzing the change in the modified O'Leary Index for each session of oral health education using the video media of the subject, the result of repeated education from the start to the middle and from the middle to the end was the result of the modified O'Leary Index test. The average value increased significantly (p.05). As a result of a comprehensive analysis of this study, the more oral health education was repeatedly implemented for implant patients, the more the subjects' awareness and oral behavior changed, and the dental plaque and oral care ability improved. Through this study, we confirmed that oral health education using video media can be an effective educational method, and we aim to provide basic data for the expansion and universalization of oral health education programs in the future.
