This paper is a study on (Öt dal, Sz. 61, 1916) by Béla Bartók (1881-1945), a composer who fused folk music and art style as a representative Hungarian composer of the 20th century. For this study, the first life history study was conducted. We studied the musical activities of Bartók between the 2nd and 3rd World Wars and the two world wars, the starting point of interest in folk music and vocal music, and examined the composition of . Secondly, we explore Bartók's musical vocabulary with Palindrome's symmetrical structure, The Axis system, Tritone, Viennese trichord, and various folk musical features. In addition, the overall flow of folk arrangement music and creative music will be examined. Lastly, based on the above theoretical research, the relationship between poets and Bartók was examined and their poems were interpreted through the flow of emotions, and then the performance method was described by reflecting the use of the musical method and characteristics of poetry. As a result of the study, Bartók, who first wrote , established his own musical method by adopting folk music elements and music materials of other musicians to establish original music. Bartók had a break in composition due to the failure of the work and World War I at the time, and it was found that he started writing again with 's composition through the encounter with Klara. Secondly, Bartók was a pioneer in modern music with a variety of musical phrases. Among Bartók's 20th-century musical vocabulary, various musical attempts were confirmed through the symmetrical structure of Palindrom. Horizontal, vertical, and structural symmetry appear in his various music, and he discovered the use of the axis system, Tritone, and the Viennese trichord. In addition, it was confirmed that his representative music phrase, folk music, mainly used the Hungarian pentatonic scale and the method based on it, the Parlando Rubato and Tempo Giusto, the Dotted rhythm, and the Hungarian accented short-long rhythm. Bartók suggested three methods for the use of folk music, and said that the highest level of composition was to create a new creative song containing the spirit of folk music without specific folk melody or imitation. Third, Bartók's was composed during the psychological crisis, and it was found that the emotions of poetry were expressed by various musical elements. At , he tried a variety of musical techniques, including the fusion of new and traditional music techniques, the use of folk music materials, the use of sound materials to add or subtract a standardized scale, and a symmetrical structure that appeared widely on the front of the music. It balances the vocal melody of Parlando with the bold and technical piano father, and the Hungarian language is excellently expressed using the folk music-based Parlando and dotted notes. In particular, Bartók's horizontal melody and vertical compositional chords, and the combination and method of non-traditional sound of modern music are interpreted as a structural perspective of symmetry, and these musical materials are harmoniously fused in . Through this study, it was confirmed that Bartók's emotions are expressed in as an excellent musical technique. Traditional and modern, symmetrical and asymmetrical, love and parting, were created in a rich and rich musical language by integrating conflicting elements within the tension of poetry. captures Bartók's personal story and his various musical phrases to provide a new direction for the 20th century art song repertoire.
