Food carving is adding aesthetic elements to the food we eat every day to provide people with more enjoyment and happiness. Food carving has a high utility value as it is used in various events such as restaurant space design, education, and positive roles in psychological healing. This study raises concerns that there has been no empirical research on the usefulness of food carving education for adult female students, who make up the highest proportion of students receiving food carving education. The study surveyed 400 female students aged 25 and over who received education from professional instructors at the Korea Carving Decoration Association, the largest food carving education institution in Korea. The results of the analysis of 385 valid survey responses are as follows: First, adult female students who received food carving education perceived a significant positive effect on immersion. Second, the perceived usefulness of food carving education had a significant positive effect on food carving education satisfaction. Third, immersion perceived by adult female students who received food carving education had a significant positive effect on food carving education satisfaction. Fourth, satisfaction perceived by adult female students who received food carving education had a significant positive effect on employment confidence. Fifth, satisfaction perceived by adult female students who received food carving education had a significant positive effect on recommendation intent. Sixth, employment confidence perceived by adult female students who received food carving education had a significant positive effect on recommendation intent. Therefore, food carving education can introduce the various functions and usefulness of food carving to students who only know it as one of the methods of restaurant space design. It can make students more immersed in food carving activities and increase satisfaction with food carving education. It is necessary to establish an effective food carving education method that can improve the vocational skills of students receiving food carving education. The function of food carving education is not just about conveying techniques but also has a positive role in improving the vocational abilities of education students.
