The purpose of this study is to analyze the success factors for South Korean construction companies to respond to the rapidly changing market environment and successfully enter the overseas construction market. To derive the success factors for the international expansion of South Korean construction companies, a two-step analysis technique was employed, targeting experts in the relevant field. In the first step, the Delphi method was used, involving experts in the field of overseas construction who were queried three times with repetitive questions to compress and derive important success factors. In the second step, based on the extracted final agreed-upon factors, a Hierarchical Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was conducted through pairwise comparisons to validate the final priorities and the importance of factors. By setting relative importance and composite weights among the final derived evaluation indicators, the study verified the empirical importance and priorities for the efficient application of evaluation factor indicators, ultimately deriving the factors for the successful execution of overseas construction projects by construction companies.
