In partnership with the Customs Service, we analyzed 2019-2021 cross-border online shopping data from the Customs Trade Data Analysis Center. The data, including over 103 million list customs entries and 93 million general import declaration entries, highlighted yearly and quarterly trends. While physical movement was restricted due to the global pandemic phenomenon, there was a significant increase in cross-border online shopping. Cross-border online shopping became a prominent channel for daily goods, indicating consumers broadened their online shopping horizons. This research offers a macroscopic perspective on the phenomenon, highlighting the increased potential for utilizing public big data.
