Case 1 : A 76-year-old man had a type 2 tumor located in the gastric antrum, and distal gastrectomy was performed. He has been alive without recurrence for 51 months since the operation.Case 2 : A 76-year-old woman had a type 2 tumor in the middle stomach, and total gastrectomy was performed. Histopathological examination showed micropapillary carcinoma, T3, ly3, v1, N2, and Stage IIIA. She died of hepatic metastasis 6 months after the operation.Case 3 : A 69-year-old woman had a type 1 tumor in the esophagogastric junction, and total gastrectomy was performed. Histopathological examination showed adenocarcinoma with MPC, T3, ly1, v1, N1, and Stage IIB. She remains alive without recurrence 48 months after the resection.Because reported cases of gastric carcinoma with MPC are limited and their results are inconsistent, it is important to identify its clinicopathological features for precise pathological diagnosis, as well as to accumulate more cases.
