Distribution of planktonic lavae and adult shortneck clams in Nagoya port area in Ise Bay. In Nagoya port area, because these areas were calm and less affected by hypoxia, Juvenile and adult clams were existed through a whole year above a depth of 5m. Population size of these clams in the port area were estimated 1012-1640t. The spawning season of these adult clams in Nagoya port were estimated July and December by analysis of obesity index and maturity index. These results indicated that the inner bay port area play important role as the spawning area in Ise Bay.
