The purpose of this study is to present the theological contents related to climate crisis found in Christian liberal arts courses, associated learning materials, and their potentials. While the mission of the Christian university is to nurture talented people equipped with a Christian spirit, the Christian University aims to nurture talented people with a Christian spirit. However, due to the climate crisis, the role of climate citizens along with democratic citizens has become important. Recent climate change and catastrophic weather have made everyone experience the climate crisis. The Christian liberal arts courses should encourage university students to continue to pay attention to this issue and encourage an eco-friendly life to overcome the climate crisis by including content related to the climate crisis in the course. A university has successfully administered ‘Christianity and Modern Society’, a compulsory basic liberal arts course, for the past six years. In this course, the issue of ecological crisis is emphasized from this semester, in order to overcome the climate crisis. This study introduced the curriculum of A University's 'Christianity and Modern Society' course and addressed the its theological parts and class contents related to climate crisis. The right understanding of Genesis 1:28 was sought, and the eco-friendly life-related part of the interpretation of Genesis 3:19 was investigated. The Christianity misunderstood the Bible verse 'subdue the earth' (Genesis 1:28) the most. This misunderstanding gave the anthropogenic destruction of nature a legitimacy. The biblical and theological interpretations of the verse ‘for dust you are and to dust you will return' (Genesis 3:19) include the meaning that humans are part of nature and should live with it. The author introduces the contents and materials of flipped learning classes and general classes related to this interpretation. And the teaching method applied actually in the Christian liberal arts course was introduced. Generation MZ tends to have a mindset that correlates public well-being with one's own happiness. The discussion on climate crisis issues in the Christian liberal arts course is expected to not only instill a positive image of the church in the new generation of college students, but also encourage their eco-friendly life to overcome the climate crisis. As the Christian university taught faith and modern education, it is expected to contribute to overcoming the current climate crisis by training climate citizens who will overcome the crisis that humanity is facing.
