The purpose of this study is to analyze the current state of the Ppuri industry and promotion policies, and to seek the future direction.Based on national statistics survey and reports related to the Ppuri industry, the status of each industry and regionwas analyzed, and the approaches of the promotion policies that were carried out in the past were summarized. The promotion policies and outcomemeasures for reconsidering the competitiveness of Ppuri industry were continuously managed. However, most of the promotion policies were focused on short-term project outcomes and it was found that the long-termapproach was mainly based on the establishment of the Ppuri industry complex. Froma long-term perspective, we suggest the development of a role model for a frontrunner company and the adoption of process measure to promote it. As a future research, it was necessary to study the composition of companies suitable for each industry size and policy support.
