The upcoming topic in the field of education preparing for the future society is ‘smart education’ and ‘artistic education’. In other words, discussion on ‘smart education’, based on the latest technology and ‘artistic education’ which allows creativity, imagination, intuition, emotion etc. to develop is actively taking place. Meanwhile, art and technology is developing through their reciprocal interaction and the synergistic effect of art and technology in the field of medicine and business is demonstrated. But comprehensive studies on the relationship of the two in the field of education is rarely done. Therefore the purpose of the research was to investigate the effect of the use of art and technology in teaching and learning by a comprehensive analysis on former case studies. ‘Qualitative meta analysis’ was done on nine case studies. As a result, the effect of art application are ‘maintaining of interest’, ‘revelation of creativity’, ‘imaginative power’, ‘absorption of knowledge through inducement of expression’ and ‘reflective thinking’. The effect of using technology are ‘sharing and communication’, ‘self-directed learning’, ‘extending expression’, ‘generating learner’s interest‘. And on grounds above, we discussed synergy effect of application of art, using technology.
