It was after the mid-20th century that Islam began to flourish industrially beyond the meaning of religion. Halal market was formed as Islamic religious norms were applied to Muslims' real lives. Major developed countries are already recognizing the halal market, which accounts for about 12% of the world's consumer market, as a new giant market, and are targeting the halal industry by identifying the tricky process of halal industry with an understanding of halal industry. However, it is true that in Korea, people are reluctant to research and make practical inroads into the halal market, which is already emerging as a global market due to their perception of Islamic religion. In this study, even though existing research on halal foods was conducted in Korea, halal logistics should be preemptively carried out, which can actually lead to the development of halal industries. Second, as a starting point for halal logistics, we would like to present a halal-only port strategy that can be used in Korea along with research on halal-only ports promoted bymajor developed countries. To this end, Pohang Yeongil NewPort, which is likely to be Halal Port in Korea, will be analyzed along with cases frommajor advanced countries. Finally, it presents a strategy to link Gyeongsangbuk-do and Halal industries as the background of Halal Port and a strategy to upgrade the value-added industry in Gyeongsangbuk-do, alongwith a shift in awareness of domestic Islam.
