The purpose of this study is to investigate the meaning and value of golf and marathon in Korea. Golf and Marathon have become popular sport and life sport, and many parts of our society have been developed in connection with them, and their meaning and value are sufficient in terms of history, society, and culture, and they are developing economically and industrially. In this context, golf and marathon are closely related to our lives, and they are becoming more humanistic as they are compared to life. Human beings can not live apart from society, but they are struggling to survive in a competitive society and are under stress. In this situation, social deviation through sport is a part of human life that is so necessary that we talk about life through a lonely and painful marathon alone and a series of mistakes and successes. Therefore, although simple comparison and analysis of golf and marathon are meaningful and valuable, it is judged that golf and marathon will have more meaning and value in our lives if essential and practical studies in the fields of ontology, epistemology, value theory, logic, and phenomenology, which are philosophical research methods, are continuously explored in relation to how golf and marathon itself are related to life in our society. Furthermore, humanistic studies are required for various sport that are likened to life in sport.
