The electric power system cyberspace is a complex information infrastructure network that encompasses various elements, including the Internet, communication networks, and the Internet of Things (IoT). It is characterized by a dynamic virtual space shaped by the interactive dynamics of ‘people-machines-things.’ This study employs the systems thinking approach to scrutinize the fundamental constituents, hierarchical structure, and interrelations within the electric power system network space. The ultimate objective is the development of a cartographic representation of the power system cyberspace. Such a representation serves as a ‘strategic map’, enhancing the capacity for monitoring and ensuring the security of the power system network.
