A new wavelength-swept fiber laser is proposed and successfully demonstrated based on two linear chirped fiber Bragg gratings (LC-FBGs) with perfect opposite dispersion response. It is based on intra-cavity pulse stretching and compression provided respectively by two chirped gratings. Experimental results demonstrate a wavelength-swept fiber laser that exhibits a sweep rate of about 3.48 MHz over a 6 nm sweeping range with a center wavelength of about 1549 nm.
