Spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) is presented in this paper to achieve a loss pass filter with extremely miniaturization. First, the conventional SSPPs structure that with etched grooves is analyzed the dispersion characteristics. Then, by etching meander linear grooves, the novel SSPPs structure has 91% size reduction compared with the conventional SSPPs structure was obtained. Finally, a loss pass filter is designed in the bandwidth of 0–6 GHz on account of the proposed new SSPPs structure.
