Multi-energy microgrids show great potential in relieving energy crisis and protecting environment. Energy efficiency is one of the most important indexes in evaluating multi-energy microgrids’ performance. Three indexes as primary energy ratio, renewable energy consumption ratio and primary energy consumption are selected. Entropy-independence-G1 method is proposed for weight calculation. Entropy method determines the weight according to indexes’ variability. Independence method reduces the influence of reduplicative information. G1 method is used to provide subjective preference. Owing to the consideration of both objective information and subjective decisions, the evaluation accuracy can be improved. Case study has been done and the energy efficiency evaluation comprehensive scores are calculated. For a typical multi-energy microgrid, the system has better energy efficiency when operated in grid-connected with power injection mode.
