We fabricated a kind of mode selective coupler with a homemade ring-core fiber, which can generate different high-order modes by controlling the pre-stretched length of the single-mode fiber. This coupler can be used as a mode converter and is of potential interest for increasing channel capacity in optical telecommunications.
