Microwave breast imaging modality is one of the most promising alternative techniques from X-ray mammography in terms of safety, painless, non-harmful exposure measurement. In order to maintain its imaging quality, an effective surface reflection algorithm should be implemented, which considers a frequency dependency due to coupling effect or dispersive breast media. As a solution for this issue, we introduce a fractional derivative based waveform compensation model, which would be validated through the clinical data using ultra-wideband radar equipment. These tests demonstrate that our method significantly reduce the interference from surface reflection, which would upgrade the reliability of post radar image.
