The development of the G-band sheet beam TWT with periodic permanent magnet focusing (PCM) is in progress at BVERI. The interaction circuit is based on the staggered double vanes grating slow-wave structure, which is capable of producing >50W power output with a bandwidth over 10GHz according to the PIC simulation. The electron optics for the sheet beam is considered to be the most challenge part in design. The preliminary design of the gun is completed and the results are also presented.
