The popularization of new energy vehicles relies on a powerful charging system. Therefore, it has become an inevitable trend to increase charging equipment, but today’s new energy vehicle charging system has the following problems. First, the construction speed of charging piles cannot keep up with the speed of car iteration. Second, widespread deployment of charging stations consumes a lot of human and financial costs. Third, the peak-to-valley difference in demand for new energy vehicles using charging piles is too large. Based on this, we designed an intelligent charging robot with the target recognition. This project uses target recognition algorithms: after reaching the vicinity of the vehicle through the above positioning information, the license plate number is identified through the camera. Then identify and follow through the QR code, determine the position of the charging port, and use the robot arm of the car to insert the charging head into the charging jack to complete the charging.
