As environmental concerns continue to escalate, the development of novel power systems emerges as a pivotal strategy for future energy solutions. The architecture of these new power systems is inherently complex, necessitating a comprehensive analysis of multifaceted investment factors. This study employs system dynamics to formulate a dynamic development planning model for the Sichuan source-network-load-storage initiative. This model integrates a range of internal and external elements and their interconnections, aiming to elucidate the investment requirements for the new power system. The research undertakes simulations across three distinct scenarios: baseline, optimal, and intermediate. Findings suggest that robust policy support coupled with rapid technological progress is crucial for expediting the energy transition and fostering sustainable development.
