The capacity credit is an important index to measure the contribution of renewable energy to the power system. Considering the source-load correlation, a capacity credit assessment method is proposed in this paper. The Copula function is used to describe the correlation between renewable energy and load in seasonal scenarios, and a source-load joint probability distribution model is constructed to generate source-load correlation scenarios. Based on the source-load correlation scenarios, the assessment of capacity credit is performed from the perspective of source-load matching. Finally, the capacity credit assessment is carried out through a case study, and the result verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.
